Nerf Super Soaker
The Nerf Super Soaker is a popular toy water gun that was first sold in 1990 and then made its way to the market until the present day. It had several models and several upgrades to make the toy more enjoyable for both kids and adults. The first of its kind was actually called the Power Drencher but later it was named the Super Soaker.
The earlier versions of the Nerf Super Soaker blasters used manually pressurized air to shoot water, and were quite better than the traditional squirt guns because they offered greater range and greater power. Because of these advantages, it became widely popular. In addition, Michael Jackson even cited this as one of his favorite toys.
Several models of this toy water gun use air to force the water out of the nozzle and then in to the air. A separate firing chamber system and a pressurized reservoir system are the two types of propulsion systems used by several models (one type is just used in one toy water gun). The separate pressure chamber system utilizes a large reservoir, and one or more air pressure chambers. With this system in the Super Soaker, from the reservoir the water is pumped into the pressure chamber where the air is being compressed in the chamber. The compressed air then exerts a force on the water which then enables the water to be pushed through the nozzle when the trigger is pulled. Models of the water gun that use this propulsion system are generally more powerful than the pressurized reservoir system. The pressurized reservoir system on the other hand uses a single reservoir for air and water. The water fills the reservoir first, then air is forced into the reservoir, then the pressurized air forces water out of the reservoir when the trigger is pulled. Other systems are also being used by other several models. One is the piston pressure in which water is forced through the nozzle by a shaft. Toy water guns that use this system are less popular because the power generated by these water guns just depends on the strength of the user himself. The most powerful system utilized by the recent models of Nerf Super Soaker is the constant pressure system in which the rubber chamber provides the constant pressure as it expands because of water filling it.
Recent models of this toy water gun like the Tornado Strike, Thunderstorm, Hydro Cannon and Scatter Blast are getting more popular because of the awesome features that they offer. The Tornado Strike has a barrel that rotates just like a gatling gun and has a firing range (it is quite ironic because we are talking of water guns) of 20 feet. The Thunderstorm can reach as far as 35 feet and uses 300 milliliter water magazines. Other models of the Nerf Super Soaker, like the Point Break, Lightning Storm, Electrostorm and the Microburst are also available in stores and online and these have different cool features as well.
